Why Your Business Needs a Website

Why Your Business Needs a Website & What It Should Include

You’re on a mission for a new pair of jeans. You walk into a new little boutique down the street and you start looking. You grab a few pairs, try them on in the dressing room, and as you’re ready to pay, your eye catches a cute top nearby! You decide you can’t live without it, so proceed to pay for the jeans and new top and you’re on your way!

Looking around in a boutique is like free advertising for a small business owner. The customer may be looking for something specific, but chances are they’ll find so much more while they’re in there. They may even come to love that little boutique!

You’re probably thinking, what does shopping in a boutique have to do with getting a website for my business? Well, it doesn’t. But what does have to do with your business is the concept of free advertising. You’ve worked hard to perfect your products and/or services and you deserve to showcase them in a way that allows future clients to get the full experience of your business. In this era of digital marketing, there is no better way to do this than to create a business website, and that is exactly what I want to do for you!

Credibility

You might be in the beginning stages of your business and that’s okay. Building a website for your business is going to gain major credibility for you. It’s easy to “talk the talk,” but being able to prove your business exists shows that you “walk the walk.” Not only is your website a credible form of proof for your business, but it also allows for a greater audience to find you! There’s only so far word of mouth can travel, but once you’re published, the possibilities are endless!

Open Business Hours

We all live busy lives with different schedules. One major perk of having a website for your small business is the fact that your products are available 24/7. A website makes it so convenient for your potential clients to look around and see what interests them on their own time. If you’re a service-based business, a website still allows potential clients to get in contact with you by email whenever it is convenient for them. Major win!

Increased Revenue

Having a strong online presence will bring organic traffic to your business. We live in a world that utilizes search engines and surfing the web. Small businesses that excel in digital utilization earn two times as much revenue per employee and are three times as likely to create jobs from year to year. What business owner doesn’t want to grow their business? I want to help you reach that full potential!

What Your Website Needs

If you’re deciding to take the leap and showcase your hard work through a website, it has to be user-friendly. The most important thing to consider when building your website is to make it mobile-friendly. Think of how often you conduct a Google search on your phone. Every day, right? In 2019,  60% of Google searches happened on a mobile device. Your business must be easily accessible, which means making it easy to locate and navigate through!

Another important factor your website must include is your contact information. Since a website gives your business open access 24/7, how can potential customers get in contact with you when you’re not available. You will need to consider displaying your name, phone number, business location, or a way to book a call with you. You want to let people know you are friendly and approachable, and you want to work with them! Everyone loves being heard, right?

There is nothing more frustrating than having something specific in mind you are looking for, taking the time to search for it, and then never finding it. Your website needs organization. Specific tabs that can clearly show customers what to expect when they visit those pages on your website make a good impression. Have a specific place for contact information, your products and services, and even an area to talk about yourself. Building trust and a relationship with your customers will go a long way!

Your website also needs to include your pricing. I know, talking about money is uncomfortable and it’s never easy to bring up the topic. However, if a potential client is reviewing your website with a specific budget in mind but never see your price, they may contact you only to be disappointed that they can’t afford you. It’s good to let your clients be prepared when they converse with you, and letting them know your prices beforehand makes that discussion much easier!

I’m so excited that you are looking to grow your business by creating a website! I would love to help you optimize your site and shine a light on the wonderful products and/or services you have to offer! After all, you should be proud of how hard you are working!
